Bellevue Tea, www.bellevue-tea.co.uk
It seems such a long time ago now, but one Sunday morning back in early May, we made our way to Earls Court for the Real Food Festival. We were there to see My Daddy Cooks, aka food blogger, radio presenter and author Nick Coffer who had invited us over to watch his cookery demo with his son Archie.
Once we finished laughing from their brilliant demo (click here to see what we mean!) we wandered around all the amazing food stalls. We were in wedding planning mode as we were getting wed in Italy at the beautiful Trullo Fico (click here for more on our wedding) and were always on the look out for anything jewel coloured to fit in with our theme. And there on the end of a long row of stalls was the Bellevue Tea stand… and on it were the most beautiful jewel coloured tea spoons that would make perfect wedding favours.
We excitedly spoke to company founder Claire and we ordered 3 sets of the spoons. A couple of days later they were delivered (perfectly packaged) along with a couple of samples of the full Bellevue Tea range. Over the next couple of days we tried them all…
The quality of the new and improved Breakfast Tea was head and shoulders above even the premier brands (you know what ones I mean Monkey?). It’s strong, bright & full of flavour a fantastic blend of teas from Kenya and Sri Lanka.
Next I tried one of my favourites, Earl Grey. It was distinctively light & fragrant tasting great with or without milk. Naturally rich in antioxidants and flavoured with bergamot oil, (extracted from the fragrant bergamot orange). Earl Grey is used regularly in cooking so why not try the recipe for their Earl Grey cupcakes or some Raspberry and Earl Grey Jellies?
One more variety that I have to mention is the Peppermint infusion, aromatic, refreshing & calming… And the perfect tea when feeling a little ‘delicate’ after a few glasses of wine and some port! Loved for more than 3000 years peppermint is thought to help digestion and relieve the symptoms of coughs and colds (and the odd hangover).
Prices are £2.00 for 25 individually wrapped tea bags and the best thing that there is a flat fee of only £2.50 postage for any size order (mainland UK only). Each bag is individually wrapped, so you’ll find that the last one tastes as fresh & delicious as the first. Also the string and tag bags are so easy and convenient whether brewing just one mug or a pot.
The lovely people at Bellevue are really passionate about tea and this really show in the superb taste of all their products. Don’t just take my word for it click here to read their ‘tea story’
And apart from the high quality teas for sale on the online shop, take a peek at the wonderful gift sets and tea accessories too… I particularly like the limited edition Bellevue tea towel (Hint hint!)

Love the teaspoons as wedding favours, such a lovely lovely idea! Yay Bellevue!
We still have some left over also, knew they were perfect as soon as we saw them. Better than sugared almonds eh?
