The MO Burger at Byron hamburgers for Movember
It’s that time again – Movember. And in the name of this great charity, Byron are launching of a limited edition hamburger – the MO Burger.
A classic American cheeseburger with a twist: a hamburger patty topped with Cheddar cheese, served with pickled red onion rings, salted cucumber slices, sliced iceberg lettuce and mustard dill dressing, inside a sesame seed glazed bun £8.75, it will be available at all Byron restaurants from November 1st to 30th – including Byron Spitalfields, which is due to open on 6th October.
For every MO Burger sold, Byron will donate 50p to Movember. In addition, Byron will be helping registered ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’ who raise over £25 to beef up their moustache, by offering them a free hamburger, chicken burger, veggie burger or main course salad between 3-6pm every day for two weeks, from November 7th-20th inclusive. ‘Over the past two years, we’ve raised more than £60,000 for Movember and given away over 15,000 free hamburgers as a thank you to ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Sistas’. We’re excited to be partnering this great cause and innovative charity for the third consecutive year and looking forward to helping them further raise awareness of mens’ health issues’ says Tom Byng, founder.
Movember is a sponsored moustache-growing charity event held every November to raise both funds and awareness for men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Founded in Australia in 2003, 2011 saw more than 854,000 Mo Bros (and their supportive Mo Sistas) take part around the world, raising a total of £79.3 million. Mo Bros and Mo Sistas can register to participate at www.movember.com from October.
