A Giant Immersive Cheese Board Has Landed In Greenwich In Time For Christmas
When you find out that a giant immersive cheese board arrives in Greenwich just in time for Christmas you have to pay attention. When you discover that when you visit this giant immersive cheese board, you can help yourself to unlimited cheese (with biscuits) and mulled wine you have to buy a ticket. And no, it’s not to be confused with Byron‘s Cheesemas menu.
Greenwich events space Studio 338 will host a huge ‘cheesefestival’ (their word, not ours) across three zones in the venue. The main attraction is the aforementioned giant immersive, cheeseboard – where visitors will be invited to walk around the board, stopping to sample artisan cheeses as they roam.
Organisers say, “This Christmas we are going to make it a reality. A cheesy, melty, mulled wine-fuelled reality. This is going to change your lives forever.” I’m not sure it’ll be forever but it’ll be for a mighty long time! They continue, “Think ‘Honey, I Shrunk The Kids’, if they were lucky enough to find themselves in a cheese and wine heaven.”
With sessions taking place on Saturday 16th December, Sunday 17th December and Saturday 23rd December, you’ll be able to sample a selection of the finest artisan cheeses from across Europe with a large baked Camembert taking centre stage. Immerse yourself in cheesy euphoria where gooey treats are served by man-sized mice whilst lazing by a double height fireplace, providing the perfect spot for turophiles (‘connoisseurs of cheese’ or ‘cheese fanciers’) to snuggle up.
Vegan? Don’t stress, they’ve got your back, a selection of vegan-friendly alternatives will be showcased too. And what about dessert? Yes that’s also available and no prizes for guessing what’ll be served. Yep that’s right – cheesecake.
Tickets which include unlimited free cheese, biscuits and mulled wine start at £30 +b/fee are on sale right now (and selling fast).

This was a rubbish event, long queues, freezing cold, totally disorganised, mulled wine was cold and probably watered down, really poor selection of cheeses which they ran out of and had to get more supplies. Certainly not worth the money. A total con…and if it was artisan cheeses they came from Sainsbury’s…the delivery van arrived while we were queuing to get in. Loads of very unhappy customers demanding their money back from Tom Anderson.
We have just been to this event. Not only did we have to queue for over an hour in the freezing cold because it was late opening. But when we got in the Mulled wine & cider wasn’t even up & running. So we went to have some beautiful artisan cheese……no artisan cheese but a choice of 2 cheeses (1 a soft goats cheese) and some nut cheeses. It then took us over an hour to queue and get a cup of very watered down mulled wine. A lot of very cold, fed up customers who feel Tom Anderson, whose name was being given out by Studio 338 as the event organiser, truely showed his greed for money by delivering one of the most appealing events I have ever been too – this was not a giant Cheese board, but scraps that mice might have left with the word artisan being used in the most inappropriate way.
What a disgrace. Massive disappointment and feel thoroughly conned. Got tickets as Xmas presents and people came from well outside london. Queued for an hour past entry time, in serious cold, while watching deliveries arrive! Finally got to warming mulled wine. Er, no. Not working! Went to cheese. Er, two only, so cold it was tasteless. Went back for wine. Queued for nearly 30mins. Tepid, very watered down. Really hacked off. Joined the throng of people leaving. What are the chances of getting our money back???? Pigs might fly, while Tom Anderson has a pocket load.
