Legendary Cocktails In The Sky | GŎNG Hosts Star Bartender Jorg Meyer Of Hamburg’s Le Lion
If ever you needed another reason to visit GŎNG, this is it. Creator Jörg of Le Lion Bar de Paris in Hamburg is in London from 11 to 14 May, guest bartending at GŎNG for four days only. Known to many simply as Le Lion, it is one of only five bars in the history of the World’s 50 Best Bars poll to have achieved a listing in seven consecutive years.
Jörg has bought over five of his original cocktails to the top of the fabulous five-star Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard, alongside Christian Maspes, head bartender and the bar team at GŎNG. I can’t tell you how much we wished we were staying the night in the hotel after trying a few of these…

We loved the legendary aromatic Gin Basil Smash (above) so much, we thought we’d share the recipe. Although it will no doubt taste better in the sky, made by Jörg’s expert hands.
