London’s most beautiful open air cinema, at Somerset House (London WC2R 1LA), is back with an exciting and eclectic line-up of films. Featuring a mix of UK premieres, cinematic classics, cult favourites and recent releases – all shown on a giant screen with amazing surround sound. And what’s better than watching a great film under the stars? Watching a great film under the stars with a glass (or bottle) of a fab wine. That’s why we’re so excited that Bordeaux Wines, official wine sponsor of this year’s Film4 Summer Screen, has given us a pair of tickets (worth £22.50 each) to see the sold out UK Premier screening of The Watch starring Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, on Sunday 19 August 2012.

Why not make a day of it and enjoy more than just the featured movie and book Behind the Screen (not included in the prize), the programme of talks illuminating the films, Immerse yourself in the art and craft of cinema, with our series of Behind the Screen talks at Somerset House. Held before the main screening, these illuminating talks offer a glimpse into minds of the directors, actors and industry insiders behind this year’s Film4 Summer Screen films. Doors open at 18.30 for a complimentary drink in the Behind the Screen bar, reached through the Great Arch Hall. All talks start at 19.00 in the Screening Room and last one hour. The Great Arch Hall and the Screening Room are on Lower 2 of the South Building in Somerset House, ticket holders should arrive at the Embankment Entrance to attend the talks. Behind the Screen tickets give access to Behind the Screen events only. Tickets for film screenings must be purchased separately. There is a reserved space in the courtyard for those who have purchased tickets for both the talk and the main screening.
