The Black Velvet Cocktail With Guinness & Moët & Chandon Champagne
The famous Black Velvet cocktail was invented back in 1861 at Brooks’s Club in London. After the death of Prince Albert everyone was overcome with emotion and the story goes that the steward at the club ordered that even the champagne should be put into mourning and proceeded to mix it with Guinness… And so, out of a death, the Black Velvet was born.
That’s it, simples. Now sit back and raise a glass to good old Prince Albert.
